About JK Companies

East toward the bottoms the warehouse corridor runs all night, dock doors lit and trailers waiting, and a storm out there is a logistics problem before it is a weather event. JK Companies plows that kind of ground around Edwardsville: wide aprons, truck courts, employee lots that have to be open by shift change no matter the hour. Snow gets pushed well clear of the dock line, salt goes onto the walkways and the approach, and the piles land where they will not melt back across a lane. It is cold, deliberate, unglamorous work under sodium light, with wind coming unobstructed off flat ground. By the time the first trucks roll, the pavement is dark and the day runs on schedule.
