About SV Enterprises

January along the Fox turns the river to plates of gray ice and the parking lots into something considerably worse. SV Enterprises takes that side of the season in East Dundee — plowing lots and drives, clearing walkways down to the surface, spreading salt where meltwater runs and sets up again on the grades above the river. The slopes are what make winter interesting here; anything that drains toward the street will find a way to freeze at the bottom of it. Working an hour ahead of that, all storm long, is the entire craft. By the time the shops along the river open their doors, the way in is already open too.
