About KBC Lawn Service

In June the fog lifts off the Mississippi bottoms and climbs the Dunleith hillsides until mid-morning burns it away, leaving every lawn in town standing on a slant. KBC Lawn Service mows those slopes the way they have to be mowed — across the pitch, in patient passes — then trims where turf runs up against limestone wall and gravel apron. Feeding and weed control keep the thin bluff-top ground holding its color deep into August. There is a plain satisfaction in a hillside yard that reads as one clean sheet of green from the road below. When the ridge oaks let go in October, the leaves get cleared away too.
