About Work On It LLC

By late April the frost is finally out of the ground in Lee County, and everything that spent five months gray turns green in about a week. Work On It LLC meets that turn with the first mow of the year — the pass that makes a yard look like it came through the winter whole — and then holds it on a steady schedule from there. Mowing, trimming around trees and foundations, edging back the turf that has crept out over the sidewalk. Evenings run long enough now to finish one last lot with the light going low and gold behind the grain bins. On the older streets near the courthouse the shade fills back in and the grass takes on a different temper, so the cut changes with it. A kept yard is the part of a house everyone sees from the street, and it deserves that much attention.
