J & S Snow Removal

About J & S Snow Removal

Downtown DeKalb after a night storm is all quiet brick and blue light, the theatre marquee dark and the sidewalks under four inches. J & S Snow Removal is already working by then — plowing lots, opening drives, shoveling walks to the doors, salting the steps and aprons where ice forms first. Second Street has to be walkable by the time the first shop unlocks, and that is a clock nobody argues with. Storms come in off the fields with the wind behind them, so the second pass matters as much as the first. Clean pavement, banks pushed back off the corners, nothing left standing to refreeze.
