On a DeKalb side street in June the sprinklers come on at dusk and the sidewalks stay warm past nine o'clock. Hometown lawn care works those blocks — mowing, trimming, edging the walk until the concrete shows its full width again, and clearing leaves and winter litter when the year turns over.
