Gray's Total Tree Service

About Gray's Total Tree Service

In February the wind crosses DeKalb County with the whole prairie behind it, and Cortland's trees take it head-on with the Kishwaukee lying low to the south. Gray's Total Tree Service uses those dormant weeks well — pruning while the structure is visible, cutting out crossing limbs and old wounds before the sap turns. Trimming makes room for the plow, the mail truck and the gutter line; removal takes out the box elder that was never going to make another decade. Spring storms here are loud and quick, and afterward there are limbs to cut and stack and carry off before a driveway is usable. Trees repay attention, and this town's are getting it.
