About gamboa's landscaping
By late October the wind out of the west has the whole town's leaves in motion, drifting them against curbs from Hopkins Park out to the streets off Sycamore Road. gamboa's landscaping meets that stretch of the calendar with rakes, blowers and a truck bed: cleanups that take a lawn from buried to bare, beds mulched and squared away before the ground goes hard. The rest of the year is mowing and trimming — the weekly pass that keeps a lawn even, the edge along the drive held honest, the grass kept short and green through the wide bright heat of a DeKalb July. Out here the sky offers nothing to hide behind, and a skipped corner shows from the road. So the corners get done, and the yard looks right the moment the truck pulls away.
