About BlackRock Outdoor Living

Deer Park spreads over the glacial moraine in southern Lake County, all oak groves and long private drives, houses set well back from the road behind their own stands of timber. BlackRock Outdoor Living plows that terrain, where the driveway is often the longest stretch of pavement on the property and wind coming across the open ground between woodlots piles snow over it in ridges. A December storm here is measured in hours of clearing rather than inches. The blade works the full length of each drive, walks and aprons get finished by hand, and salt goes down where shade keeps ice all week. The result is a place that stays connected to the road all winter, however far back in the oaks it sits.
