About Houser Stump Grinding LLC

Every place that has been lived in long enough has a stump in it somewhere — a lost silver maple, a hackberry taken by lightning, an old cedar that finally gave up. Houser Stump Grinding LLC removes trees, takes the stumps down below grade until there is nothing left but a bed of chips, and trims what stays standing. Grinding is patient work: pass after pass, the teeth going a little deeper, the ring of the old trunk disappearing into soft ground. What comes back is level dirt you can rake out and seed, or set a bench on, or simply mow across without swerving. Neighbors notice that kind of tidy, and so does the person who has been steering around that stump for years.
