About FK Outdoors

October at Rock Springs turns the hickories the color of a struck match, and about a week later the same drop reaches the yards in town. FK Outdoors works that turn of the year hard — leaf cleanup, the last cuts of the season, beds and lawns put to bed before the ground locks up. The rest of the summer it is the steady stuff: mowing on schedule, trimming close, edging the walk so the grass stops where it is supposed to. Decatur weather does not do gradual, so the truck is loaded for whatever the week decides to be. Come November there is nothing better than a bare, brushed lawn under a low sun, ready to sleep.
