Southern Illinois Lawn Care

About Southern Illinois Lawn Care

De Soto sits in Jackson County north of Carbondale, where the ground still rolls a little before it eases off toward the Big Muddy and the timber crowds up to the edge of the yards. Southern Illinois Lawn Care mows that ground from a March green-up weeks ahead of the rest of the state, straight through the long humid stretch when everything grows twice as fast as anyone wants. Trimming and edging finish it, sharp along the drives and walks, because down here a lawn is largely boundary work against the woods. Winter is short and slick rather than deep, so when an ice event closes in the crew swaps the deck for a blade and clears drives and lots the same night it starts. Two very different jobs, one set of properties, looked after right around the year.
