About Ex-Tree

Winter in De Soto, up Route 51 from Carbondale, rarely comes as tidy powder; more often it arrives as wet, heavy snow or a glaze of ice that makes every driveway a gamble. Ex-Tree answers with snow removal for this Jackson County village, clearing drives and walks so a southern Illinois morning can begin on solid footing. Storms here tend to be brief but sharp, and the window to get ahead of them is narrow, so the work starts early and moves fast. That dark-hour effort is the heart of it: headlights on, breath fogging, a path opened before most of the village stirs. When the sun breaks through and the ice on the branches starts to glitter and fall, the drive is already waiting.
