Doc's Mowing

About Doc's Mowing

Storms come across the Winnebago County hills in the afternoon, and one good July soaking will put more growth on a lawn in two days than the fortnight before it managed. Doc's Mowing works the roads around Laona to that rhythm, cutting once the ground has drained enough to hold a tire, trimming around the trees and posts, edging the drive and the walk. The seasonal cleanups bracket it all, one in spring and one after the hardwoods are bare. It's honest, repetitive, weather-ruled work in the rolling country between the Pecatonica and the Rock. And a yard mowed at the right height, with the lines running with the slope, looks right for a solid week afterward.
