Stumpy’s Services

About Stumpy’s Services

The first hard frost around Cunningham turns the prairie grasses copper overnight and calls a halt to the growing season with no ceremony at all. Stumpy's Services works right up to that line and a little past it — the last mows of October kept low and even, trimming and edging done one final time, then the fall cleanup that pulls leaves and cut debris off the lawn before it can mat down. Doing that carefully in November is what a healthy April looks like; grass out here remembers how it was put to bed. Central Illinois hands out long, generous growing seasons, and the whole point is being ready when the next one opens. Cunningham, Urbana, Champaign, Sidney and St. Joseph are the working ground.
