Colona sits where the Green River finds the Rock, and the ground around it is river ground — cottonwoods, bottomland, and grass that grows like it means it. A Cut Above Lawn and Landscaping Services mows through the whole warm half of the year here, trimming to the fence line and edging the drives, then clears the leaves when the cottonwoods let go. Winter turns that same route into plow work: driveways opened end to end, walks cut through, salt laid on the ice that river fog leaves behind. Trucks run I-80 overhead all night no matter the weather, but a driveway does not clear itself. Somebody has to be out there at four in the morning, and that is the job.
