Veterans Lawn Care

About Veterans Lawn Care

Colchester is an old brick-and-coal town in McDonough County, with narrow streets, deep porches, and the oak hills around Argyle Lake rising just east of it. Veterans Lawn Care mows through that landscape all season, from the first warm week when the yards jump ahead of everyone to the last October pass that takes the leaves down along with the grass. Western Illinois heat sits still in July, so the work starts early, before the humidity settles into the low ground. Edges get cut along the sidewalks, trimmer work goes around the porch posts and shed corners, and the clippings come off the walks last so nothing is left behind. What remains is a yard square with its own street, which is most of what a town like Colchester asks for.
