About Lincoln Lawns

In Clover the sky does most of the talking, wide and flat and full of whatever weather is crossing the Illinois farm country that day. Lincoln Lawns works beneath that sky in both halves of the year, mowing yards in summer and turning to snow removal once winter wind starts drifting white across the driveways. Out here a drift can rebuild itself within an hour, so a cleared lane counts for a lot: the path to the road, the walk to the mailbox, the stretch where a car needs to turn around. In June the same yards get an even, clean cut that sits handsomely against the green fields past the fence line. Two kinds of work, one small place, and the steady satisfaction of leaving each property squared away.
