Green Acres Lawn Care

About Green Acres Lawn Care

A freight train comes through Chillicothe and the sound of it carries a long way out over every mown yard in town. Green Acres Lawn Care works between those passings — mowing, edging, trimming back whatever creeps over the walk. North of town the corn runs clear to the horizon; in town the measure is smaller and stricter, a lawn kept honestly to its own borders. Clippings blown off the drive, the walk swept, nothing left behind but the smell of cut grass and a yard that sits square with the street. That is the whole of it, done again next week, and the week after that.
