Plain Kings Lawn Care

About Plain Kings Lawn Care

Late May, Saturday, and the bungalow belt fills with the sound of mowers the way other places fill with church bells. Plain Kings Lawn Care is out in it — cutting, edging along chain-link and concrete, trimming the corners a mower cannot reach behind the tomato cages and the garage. A city lot gives you no room to hide a crooked line, so the stripes run straight from the fence to the walk and the edges hold all week. Grass here races in June, slows in the August heat and comes back green in September, and the schedule follows it rather than fighting it. The result is simple and it lasts: a yard that looks tended, week after week, on a block where people notice.
