JH Landscaping and Snow Removal

About JH Landscaping and Snow Removal

Archer Avenue runs its old diagonal across the Southwest Side, cutting the grid at an angle no other street will, and the neighborhoods strung along it — Garfield Ridge, Clearing, West Lawn — wake up under the flight path into Midway. JH Landscaping and Snow Removal takes those streets when the snow stacks up: plowing driveways and parking aprons, shoveling walks and stairs, salting the ice that forms where the alleys drain. Snow on this side doesn't drift so much as sit, heavy and wet off the lake, and it wants moving before it hardens into a rutted gray shell. Finish a block and it reads clean end to end, curb line visible again, every drive open. That is the job, storm after storm.
