About Greenwise Organic Lawn Care

Late May on the far North Side arrives cool and unhurried, the lake holding winter a few weeks longer than the rest of Illinois, so Rogers Park lawns green up on their own patient schedule. Greenwise Organic Lawn Care meets them there — mowing once the growth truly starts, trimming along the courtyard buildings and two-flats, edging where walks run down toward the beaches at Pratt and Farwell. Cleanups clear the winter's grit at one end of the year and the leaf fall at the other, with the cottonwood fluff drifting through somewhere in between. Blocks this close to the water get a breeze most afternoons and turf that stays soft well into July. Cutting it well is quiet, repeatable work, and the result is legible from the corner.
