About Gary's Finer Landscapes Inc

On the Northwest Side the blocks run in long brick rows, bungalow after bungalow, each with its narrow parkway of grass between sidewalk and curb. Gary's Finer Landscapes Inc works that geometry all year: mowing and edging those slim green strips in June until they read like ruled lines, then hauling leaves off them when the honey locusts let go in October. When the wind turns around off Lake Michigan the job changes shape entirely — blade down the driveway, shovel up the walk, salt across the front steps before anyone has to guess where the ice is. There is real satisfaction in a street where every apron is cut clean to the concrete while the alley is still blue with early light. Chicago asks a lawn and snow outfit to be two different companies inside one calendar, and this one keeps both trades sharp.
