About Ludwig Bros. Inc.

Champaign is where three interstates meet, and the ground between them gives a winter wind absolutely nothing to hold onto. That is why a road can be bare in one mile and drifted shut in the next, and why snow work here is as much about wind as about accumulation. Ludwig Bros. Inc. plows and clears through it — drives, walkways and lots opened up, salt down before the melt turns to glaze after sundown. When a clipper comes through overnight the route gets rerun at first light, because open ground will have quietly refilled it. A driveway cut clean to the pavement on a gray morning is a small, absolute victory.
