Goat mowing

About Goat mowing

In August, when students pour back into Champaign and the cicadas drone over West Side Park, the grass grows as if the old prairie remembers what this ground used to be. Goat mowing does lawn care in Champaign, cutting and trimming lawns from the leafy older blocks to the newer streets that run out toward the corn. On land this level, stripes run true all the way to the curb, and a clean edge is visible from half a block away. A fresh-cut yard before a home-game Saturday, with orange and blue flags out on the porches, is Champaign in a cheerful mood. Under a sky this wide the green comes back fast, and keeping up with it is a pleasure worth taking seriously.
