Pretty Little Landscapes

About Pretty Little Landscapes

There is a half hour just after sunrise near Clark Park when every blade in a Champaign yard still holds its dew and the whole lawn looks silvered. Pretty Little Landscapes starts around then. The work is lawn care with an eye for how a yard is actually seen — from the porch, from the sidewalk, from the car pulling in — so the mow lines, the trimmed borders, and the edge along the walk all agree with one another. Prairie summers here are generous and demanding in equal measure, and grass rewards anyone willing to keep a rhythm. Small yards, done carefully, add up to a better-looking street.
