Catlin keeps its shape the way Vermilion County towns do, a grid of quiet streets set down in field ground with Danville's lights a few miles east and corn standing tall on every side by September. Green Tech Lawn Care Inc mows through that stretch of the season when the grass slows but never quite stops, taking each yard on a regular turn so it never gets ahead of anybody. Trimming tightens the line along drives, fences and foundations; the clippings come off the concrete and go back into the turf where they do some good. When the street maples let go in October, the leaves are off the lawns before the first hard rain flattens them in. The result is simple and good, an even yard, a crisp edge, nothing left for the homeowner to finish.
