Focal Pointe

About Focal Pointe

At two in the morning the highways east of St. Louis are nearly empty, and the only thing moving in Caseyville is a plow. Focal Pointe handles snow and ice — lots, drives, walkways — on the hours nobody else keeps, so the first car in at six finds pavement instead of a problem. Storms here can come in wet and heavy off the river or arrive as a thin glaze that is worse than a foot of powder, and the response changes accordingly: push it back, open the corners, put salt where meltwater will refreeze. There is a real satisfaction in a lot that looks like it was never snowed on at all. That is the whole point of the night.
