Labonte's Lawn Care

About Labonte's Lawn Care

Carthage keeps its courthouse square the way western Illinois towns do: a block of brick storefronts around a lawn, shade trees older than anyone standing under them, and streets running out to the corn in four directions. Labonte's Lawn Care mows into that geometry all season, taking the deep front yards on the residential blocks, the wide side lots, the church grounds that need to look right by Sunday morning. Hancock County summers come up humid off the Mississippi valley to the west, and grass here grows fast enough that a week's delay shows. So the schedule holds: cut, trim, edge, and leave the stripes running square with the street. By September the yards have that settled, even look that says somebody has been paying attention since April.
