Big T's Land Worx

About Big T's Land Worx

Down in Saline County the winters are moody rather than heavy: weeks of brown fields and mud, then one night when the rain turns over to ice and the whole of Carrier Mills glazes. Big T's Land Worx is built for that switch, clearing driveways and lots around the village and out along the gravel that runs toward the Shawnee hills. Snow this far south is a short, sharp event, gone by Thursday, which means the work has to happen the same night it starts. The trucks push the old coal-country lanes and the farm approaches, then salt the shaded curves that never see sun in January. It is unglamorous and it matters, because a cleared drive is the difference between a normal morning and a lost day.
