Slay's Restoration

About Slay's Restoration

Storms reach White County out of the southwest, and the ones that turn over to snow usually do it well after midnight. Slay's Restoration goes out into that — plowing drives and lanes, clearing lots, opening the walks along the way out toward Crossville and Norris City. Snow on flat river country does not drift the way it does up north; it lies down thick and wet and clings to a blade. Moving it before daylight is the difference between an ordinary Tuesday and a lost one. The reward is a clean drive and a town that never had to notice.
