About Marcus Davis Lawn Care

The courthouse dome stands over Carlinville from every direction, and the town keeps its shape around the square below it. Marcus Davis Lawn Care works those blocks and the streets running off them — mowing, trimming and edging spring through fall, plowing and clearing snow once the year turns over. Summer evenings here are heavy and green and smell like cut grass three streets away. Winter mornings are the opposite: still, blue, quiet enough to hear a blade two blocks off. The work is to keep the ordinary parts of town easy to use and good to look at.
