Saturday morning, northeast side of Carbondale, and the smell of cut grass is moving down the block before nine. Mowing-N-Stuff runs the in-town yards — the small squares behind bungalows, the strip between sidewalk and curb, the tight corner nobody enjoys. Mow, trim, edge, blow, gone. When fall comes the leaves go too, hauled off rather than pushed into the street. Nothing complicated about it: the yard looks right, and it looks right again next week.
