Kasky's Tree Service

About Kasky's Tree Service

October in Carbondale turns the campus maples and the Giant City hills the same red, and the freight still comes through town the way it always has. Kasky's Tree Service works the neighborhoods on both sides of the tracks — pruning sweetgums and pin oaks in the front yards, trimming back from porch roofs and gutters before the leaves let go. Southern Illinois storms show up fast and leave hackberry limbs strewn the length of a block; they cut, chip and carry until the curb is clear again. When a tree has to come out, it comes out in an order worked out beforehand, with the sidewalk and the drive kept usable the whole time. The reward is a street that looks looked-after.
