Take Giant City Road south out of Carbondale and the ground stops being flat — sandstone shoulders, oak ridges, driveways that bend and climb to the house. Andrew's Landscaping of Southern Illinois works that terrain the way it asks to be worked: hillside lawns mowed in patient passes, the string trimmer taking the steep banks a deck can't hold, cut grass swept off the stone.
