Down along the lake south of Capital the water holds the seasons a beat longer than the land does — green at the shoreline into October, steel-gray under a January sky. D-Will Lawn Care Service and Snow Removal keeps pace with both halves of that year: mowing, trimming and cleanups while things grow, then plowing, shoveling and salting once they stop. This stretch of Illinois asks for two entirely different sets of hands, and the trick is being ready for the changeover before the calendar will admit it. A yard cut clean in July and a driveway opened before dawn in February are the same promise made in different weather. Either way, the house looks looked-after.
