A-DAN’S LAWN CARE

About A-DAN’S LAWN CARE

At six in the morning the light comes in low over the old sand ridges the lake left behind, and grass here holds its dew longer than it has any right to. A-DAN'S LAWN CARE works those Calumet yards while gulls are still drifting in from the water — mowing, trimming, and cutting an edge along the walk clean enough to set a ruler against. Cottonwood fluff comes down like slow weather in June, and it gets gathered with the clippings until the block looks new again. Spring and fall bring the heavier hours: the rake-out, the leaves, the long haul to the curb. What's left at the end of a route is simple and good — a straight line, a soft lawn, a yard that plainly looks after.
