Saturday morning in Calumet City sounds like mowers starting one street at a time, brick bungalow to brick bungalow, from Michigan City Road out toward the state line. MP Lawn Care Service works those small deep lots — mowing, trimming, and edging the narrow parkway strips between sidewalk and curb, where the eye goes first. May is the month the whole south end goes green at once and everybody is trying to catch up. Autumn brings the leaf cleanup and spring brings the reset, beds cleared and borders redrawn.
