About Royal Oak Landscaping

Storms come into Brookfield out of the northwest, and you hear them first in the bare oaks before anything shows on the ground. Royal Oak Landscaping works those nights — plowing drives and lots, shoveling walks down to the concrete, laying salt where shade holds ice long after the sky has cleared. Under streetlight the snow on these side streets looks like it will never move; by morning it has, pushed back into square banks at the lot lines. Village driveways are short and tight, which makes clearance a matter of angles rather than horsepower. The measure of the night is whether every car gets out on time.
