About Beary Landscaping

In January, Salt Creek runs dark between white banks while the rest of Brookfield is still asleep under a fresh six inches. That is the hour Beary Landscaping is out — plow lights sweeping the narrow side streets, blade down, working driveways clear so the first person out the door finds pavement instead of a wall. Storms come across the open ground west of the village and stack against every garage apron on the block. The job is plain and it is measured in inches moved and doors that open. By the time the sun clears the treetops, the walks are cut square and the salt is down.
