New Evergreen Lawn Service

About New Evergreen Lawn Service

Cold rises off the Cal-Sag in January and settles over the brick storefronts and the Rock Island tracks. New Evergreen Lawn Service is out in it, pushing snow off driveways and parking aprons around Blue Island and spreading salt where ice keeps returning. Freight and commuters do not wait on weather, so the clearing happens in the dark hours ahead of the first train. It is loud, cold, unglamorous work with a clean result: bare pavement, a clear path to the door, and a car that pulls out without a fight. Then the plow lights swing around toward the next address.
