About Kelly Brothers Landscaping

Blue Island earned its name from the ridge it stands on, a long wooded rise that once looked to travelers like a blue island floating above the wet prairie. Kelly Brothers Landscaping works the lawns along that old high ground, where mature trees shade the side streets and yards slope gently toward the lowlands. Spring brings cleanup and the first passes of the mower; by midsummer the rhythm is steady mowing and close trimming along curbs, so each block looks kept. Below the ridge the Cal-Sag Channel slides slowly past the south side of town, and up top the grass stands level and green. Call it Blue Island's pride, kept one yard at a time.
