Lawn Magic

About Lawn Magic

Half the pleasure of this work is the before and the after — a yard shaggy and vague at nine in the morning, then cut, trimmed and edged into something with corners by noon. Lawn Magic keeps that bargain on Bloomington lawns all growing season, then carries it into winter, when the change is a driveway going from ankle-deep to bare pavement. Mowing, trimming, edging and fall leaf cleanup on one side of the year; plowing, shoveled walks and salt on the ice at the other. Weather in central Illinois is never subtle, and neither is the difference a crew can make to a property in an hour. Driving back at dusk past a street of finished yards catching the last of the light is a reward all its own.
