Austin's Lawn Service

About Austin's Lawn Service

There is a half hour after sunrise in Bloomington when dew still holds the shape of every blade and the light comes in long and gold over the rooftops — that is when Austin's Lawn Service likes to start. The work is mowing, trimming and edging, done on flat prairie ground where a straight line has nowhere to hide. Along the streets that shadow the Constitution Trail, the mower goes out and back until the yard reads like corduroy, and then the walks get blown clean, clippings and all. It is plain work done with attention, and the result shows from the sidewalk before anyone steps onto the grass. Week after week through the growing season, Bloomington gets its yards kept the way a prairie town likes them: tidy, open, and easy on the eye.
