About RG TREE

Under a big shade tree, a lawn lives a different life, cooler and softer and forever negotiating with roots and fallen twigs. RG TREE knows that ground in Beverly: the grass that grows in dappled light, the thin spots where a trunk drinks first. Lawn care here means steering the mower around the root flare without scarring it, trimming tight to the bark by hand, and picking up the small limbs a July thunderstorm shakes loose. Afterward the shade looks the way shade should, an even carpet under a moving ceiling of leaves. It becomes the spot in the yard where somebody carries out a chair on a hot afternoon.
