About Two Ton's Plowing and landscaping service

Three in the morning north of Belvidere, snow still coming, and the roads out toward Poplar Grove and Candlewick Lake are one white surface with the mailboxes for markers. Two Ton's Plowing and landscaping service is out in it — plowing driveways and lots, shoveling walks, laying salt where the ice sets up hardest after a Boone County wind. The work is done by the time headlights start moving on the highway, and that is the whole idea. When the thaw comes the same operation turns to mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups, keeping the same properties in order under a different sky. Cold nights or long summer afternoons, the job is opening a place back up so people can get on with their day.
