About Grizel Hardscape and Landscape Inc

Belvidere was named for the view, and you can still find it — the ground lifting away from the Kishwaukee, streets tilting just enough that half the yards in town have a slope in them somewhere. Grizel Hardscape and Landscape Inc works those grades all season, mowing across the pitch, trimming the banks a wheel cannot reach, cutting an edge that holds its shape on a hill. Sloped yards punish shortcuts and reward patience, which is a fair description of the whole trade. Cleanups bracket the year, clearing what winter dropped and what autumn will drop again. Standing at the top of a finished lawn and looking down it clean is a small, honest kind of view.
