About Ben G Landscaping

Snow comes to Bedford quietly, usually after midnight, when the only things awake are the streetlights and the furnaces. Ben G Landscaping is awake too — plow down, salt loaded, working a route that has to be finished before the first cars back out. There is a particular pride in a drive opened to the pavement, curb to garage door, with a shoveled path to the front step and grit laid where the slope meets the sidewalk. Storms here can turn to a hard glaze by morning, so the route often runs a second time at first light to keep the surface honest. By the time the block wakes up, the night looks like it never happened, which is exactly the point.
