Howie's Lawn Care and Snow Removal

About Howie's Lawn Care and Snow Removal

Beardstown keeps its old courthouse at the center of the square, and from there the streets run out toward corn bottom that goes on until the bluffs stop it. Late afternoon in June is the good hour for cutting — the heat breaks, the light stretches long across the yards, and the smell of fresh grass carries a block in every direction. Howie's Lawn Care and Snow Removal follows the town all the way around the calendar: mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups while things grow, then plowing drives, clearing walks and spreading salt when a Cass County January locks the place down. Snow here comes with wind off open fields, which means a drive can be opened twice and still want a third pass. Doing it anyway, before the town wakes up, is the entire point.
