About Clean Sweep Environmental, Inc.

Downtown Batavia is built from the pale limestone quarried right here, and in a squall the storefronts along Wilson Street go soft and gray while the river disappears under the bridge. Clean Sweep Environmental, Inc. is a snow removal business, and that is precisely the hour it exists for: plowing, opening walks and doorways, spreading salt so the stone and brick underfoot stay walkable. Kane County winters come in on a northwest wind with almost nothing to slow them down, and they never wait for morning. The measure of a night's work is undramatic — an open lot, a bare sidewalk, a step nobody slips on. That is all of it, and then it is done again the next time the sky closes in.
